Rubber Sidewalks

Rubbersidewalks is a company that makes pavers out of recycled tires.  CEO Lindsay Smith was inspired to find an alternative to concrete when trees in her neighborhood were being cut down because their roots were damaging the sidewalks.  The company now has installations in 60 cities and 17 states and that was as of December 2006.  Rubbersidewalks save money & trees and keep tires out of landfills.  Check out the installation photos and technical information on the website.
